Victus Participations supports the growth of Anur Halal Food

Victus Participations, the investment fund specialising in the food and agrifood sector, is investing in Anur Halal Food, the number one specialist and market leader in fresh and deep-frozen premium halal products. Sitting shareholders Zwanenberg Food Group and outgoing general manager René Hochstenbach will continue to have minority shareholdings in Anur.

Martijn Hol has been appointed with immediate effect as general manager and will form the management alongside co-manager René Hochstenbach. Hol was previously a shareholder and commercial manager at Engel Foreign Food and has over 20 years’ experience in the food sector. René Hochstenbach will use the coming months to pass on his responsibilities and afterwards will continue to be involved in Anur Halal Food in his role as adviser and shareholder. Albert Baan will remain in his position as CFO.

The demand for high quality halal products in Europe has been rising steadily. Investment and the Victus network will help Anur Halal Food to continue achieve ambitious targets and perpetuate European growth. This growth mainly comes from intensive collaboration with customers and suppliers, product development, innovation and entrepreneurship.
